Week 22
How far along: 22 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain: 12 pounds
Best Moments this Week: We saw the doctor yesterday and Baby girl is healthy and growing right on track. I saw my family this weekend and was grateful for the time I was able to spend with them. I got back in town late and I walked in to dinner already in the making which was awesome! Chris made enchiladas AND cleaned up the kitchen afterwards. :) We also picked a name! We are naming her after my grandfather... but that's all you get for now.
Miss anything: Jeans that button and being able to bend down and pick something up off the floor (I always forget until I'm half way down and then I regret it)
Movement: Lots. I can feel her flip and kick and squirm and it truly is amazing. Chris also felt her for the first time this week. He had his hand on my tummy and she kicked pretty hard. His eyes got big and he said she's going to be a soccer player.
Food Cravings: cereal and milk, fruit, and rolo's
Symptoms: craving sweets, needing more time to accomplish something, dry skin (where's my glow?), the urge to nest but not the energy to actually do it. LOL.
Size of baby: about 8 inches from head to rump and weighs a bit over 1 pound.
Feelings: Getting more and more excited about Baby Girl making her appearance. I really have enjoyed being pregnant with her. Sure, I can't bend down or wear my old clothes, but feeling her move and grow is so cool. I'm anxious about being a good mom and getting everything done to be ready for her when she gets here...but I know it's all good.

Week 21
How far along: 21 weeks 2 days
Total Weight Gain: 10 pounds
Best Moment this Week: Spending time with Chris at Oak Mountain Lake on Sunday. It's not crazy hot yet and we took a picnic and played Phase 10. Just soaking up the time we have together before Baby girl joins us in August. I also officially crossed the half way point! It's crazy to look at my pregnancy tracker (there's an app for that!) and the countdown be less than how far along I am!
Miss anything: sleeping through the night, a glass of wine, and cutting my toenails without feeling like my baby is coming out of my mouth.
Movement: All the time! I looove feeling her squirm! Can't wait for Chris to be able to feel her.
Food Cravings: I definitely made Chris take me to get Mexican this week. Cheese dip? Yes, please! I've been eating a lot of cereal too. And as always, a little something sweet.
Looking forward to: seeing my family this weekend.
Size of baby to fruit comparison: Spaghetti squash, about 8 inches from head to rump and weighs a whole pound!

Week 20
How far along: 20 weeks 1 day
Total Weight Gain: 10 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Yes, and getting creative with regular clothes. A sweet friend gave me some clothes that were too big for her and I was able to get into them. I forgot how nice it is to button your pants instead of wearing the stretchy stuff... They don't fall down nearly as much! Putting belts around regular shirts that are a little big is great since it gives some separation between boobs and belly and gives back somewhat of a shape.
Best Moment this Week: Tasted a Shamrock Shake for the first time.... it's pretty awesome.
Movement: She's definitely moving and kicking. When we play music on my belly she moves a lot. So far, she likes Whitney Houston and Harry Connick, Jr.
Food Cravings: Still wanting sweets for the most part.
Symptoms: Heartburn, hair growing faster and in more places, and emotional
Feelings: I'm officially half way done and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Excited that I'm that much closer to meeting my sweet baby, sad that I don't get to feel all her little movements anymore, and nervous about actually having a baby. I am feeling alot better about how my body is changing. The transition from pre-pregnancy to having a cute bump just feels gross. This is the first week I've felt like I have a cute baby bump to show off.
Size of Baby to Fruit Comparison: about as long as a banana, 7 inches, and weighs 11 oz.

Week 19
How far along: 19 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain: 9 pounds
Maternity clothes: Definitely no regular jeans. Everything else is pretty good. Really enjoying the skirts and dresses with the spring weather we are having.
Best moment this week: After finding out that we are having a girl, I told Chris I wanted to go shopping. He asked what I wanted to shop for and my response was, “I don’t know, I just want something pink!” Well, we didn’t go that night and I held off until I went to the Cottontails event at the BJCC with my sister in law. I didn’t go overboard, but I did buy a pink headband, a little pink hat, and a diaper bag. J Loved shopping for my little girl.
Movement: Yes! She’s starting moving, especially late at night right before I go to sleep. I love going to sleep with that being the last thing I enjoy that day.
Food cravings: oh yeah, Baby girl loves sweets. I mean, I still want things other than sweets, but before being pregnant I could go a month with out wanting anything sweet. Now I want something everyday. Ghirardelli caramel squares have been a weakness.
Symptoms: some occasional indigestion/heartburn, food cravings and having to use the bathroom multiple times in the middle of the night – and I wouldn’t trade any of it just knowing that Baby girl is getting bigger everyday.
Size of baby: about 6 ½ inches from head to rump and weighs about 10 oz.

Week 18
How far along: 18 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain: 8 pounds :(
Sleep: Really enjoying it.
Best moment this week: Seeing my sweet baby!!!!!! Having the ultrasound and seeing her for the first time was incredible. She really likes to be curled up in the corner. The US tech kept having to poke her and had me roll on my side to get gravity to help move her.
Movement: starting to feel some little flutters. She moves the most after dinner.
Cravings: back to the sweet tooth - sopapillas, cheesecake, turtlebars...
Feelings: happy! grateful for this miracle growing inside of me and that Chris and I have been blessed with this sweet little one.
Size of baby to fruit comparison: mango, 6" long and about 8 oz.
